1. About this policy

1.1 This Cookie Policy explains how Gday LMS Pty Ltd, trading as GdayDoctor (we, us, our), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and learning platform (the Platform). It forms part of our Privacy Policy.

1.2 Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Browser storage works in a similar way, but what it holds is not sent to the website with each visit.

2. Cookies we set

2.1 We set only the cookies the Platform needs to work:

CookieWhat it doesHow long it lasts
Sign-inKeeps you signed in to your accountUp to 2 hours
SecurityProtects our sign-in form from forgeryUntil you close your browser
Return pageRemembers which page to take you back to after you sign inUntil you close your browser
DeviceRecognises your device, so that your account is signed in on no more than two devices at a timeUp to 2 hours

2.2 These cookies are needed for the Platform to work, so they are always on. Without the sign-in, security and device cookies, you cannot sign in or use your account.

3. Cookies set by our service providers

3.1 On our sign-up and password-reset pages, our bot-protection service may set its own cookies, store information in your browser and collect information about your device and browser, to check that the page is being used by a person rather than an automated program.

3.2 When you pay, you complete your purchase on our payment provider's own checkout pages. Those pages use the provider's own cookies, for example to prevent fraud.

3.3 Our pages load some fonts and images from content delivery providers. Your browser connects to them directly, so they receive your IP address and browser details.

4. Analytics and advertising

4.1 We count visits without using cookies. This does not identify you, and it applies to every visitor.

4.2 We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

5. Browser storage

5.1 We keep some information in your browser's storage on your device:

  1. your cookie choice (see section 6), until you clear it;
  2. your recent conversation with our chat assistant (the assistant starts a new conversation if you have not opened a page where it appears for 24 hours); and
  3. settings and progress for some study tools, such as brain-teaser progress and practice-exam notes.

5.2 You can remove this information at any time by clearing your browser's data for our site.

6. Your choices

6.1 When you first visit, our cookie banner asks for your choice. We record it in your browser and, if you are signed in, in your account.

6.2 We do not currently use analytics, advertising or preference cookies, so your choice does not change the cookies we set. If we start using any such cookies, we will set them only if you agree.

6.3 If you have made a choice, you can change it with the Update preferences button at the top of this page. Clearing your browser's data for our site also removes it, and the banner will ask again.

6.4 You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block the cookies in section 2, you will not be able to sign in.

7. Changes to this policy

7.1 We publish each version of this policy with its effective date, and we keep previous versions in our archive.

8. Contact us

8.1 If you have a question about this policy, please contact us at info@gdaydoctor.com.au.
